This policy covers the Kwacha Monitor Android application and this website.

1. Summary

Kwacha Monitor shows Zambian Kwacha exchange rates published by commercial banks. There are no accounts, no sign-in, and no personal details to hand over. Nothing that identifies you is collected or stored.

2. Information we do not collect

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, photos, files, device identifiers, or advertising ID. The app never asks for any of it and has no facility to send it.

3. No analytics, advertising or tracking

The app contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising frameworks, no tracking pixels and no cookies. We do not build a profile of you or your usage, and we do not sell or share data — there is none to share.

4. What the app sends over the network

The app needs an internet connection for one purpose: to request current exchange rates and receive them. That request carries no information about you or your device. The only thing held on our side is the public market data itself, which is identical for every user.

5. Third parties

The app is distributed through Google Play, and Google's own privacy policy governs the store, the download and any store analytics. We receive only aggregate, anonymised figures such as install counts.

Exchange rates are gathered by our own service from the banks' public web pages and served to the app as plain data. No third party receives information about you through the app.

6. Children's privacy

The app is not directed at children. Because no data is collected from anyone, none is collected from children either.

7. Security

We hold no personal data, so there is no user information that could be exposed in a breach.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here and the effective date above updated. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
